Andy J. Soul (formerly DJ Soul Jones) is a South Wales-based artist, songwriter and producer blending soulful R&B, Christian, pop-rock fusion, and chilled electronic soundscapes.
Known for a bass-rich style rooted in his club heritage at institutions like Ministry of Sound and Cream, Andy has evolved into a fully independent music creator who handles 100% of his own writing, recording, producing and mixing.
Following a feature in the South Wales Argus and past radio support from BBC Radio Wales, Andy J. Soul is launching his most intimate project to date: his debut studio album, Hurt Me Baby. The project's highly anticipated lead single, "Now Your Love's Gone" (feat. Nicole), drops globally on 15 September 2026, serving as the official spearhead for the album rollout.
It will be followed closely by his spiritual electronic E.P., The Fruit of the Spirit. For Andy J. Soul music is a mission to bring hope, peace, and soulful connection to a world that needs it.
With a fresh identity and an evolved sound, Andy J. Soul is fully owning his musical narrative for 2026 and beyond.

To my fans, partners, and listeners,
I am writing to share an important update regarding my music journey. Due to trademark complexities, I am officially retiring the name DJ Soul Jones, moving forward as Andy J. Soul
While the name on the release radar is changing, the music, energy, and passion remain exactly the same. This change allows me to protect my brand, clear up any legal confusion, and fully own my creative identity moving forward. This is work in progress as I need to change my URL, redo all of my sites, artwork and videos etc. I've just uploaded the revised version of 'Now Your Love's Gone' to You Tube and I am working on the rest!

This melodic core is layered over a hypnotic, down-tempo drum groove and a warm, swelling sub-bass line that anchors the low end. This E.P. is a collection of five songs, three of which started life as poems spoken by Terry Jones, a local Minister from my Church (Ebbw Bridge Baptist Church) And two covers of songs I love.
